Obituary for Charlotte Clare Burke

Charlotte Clare Burke
CHARLOTTE CLARE BURKE

Charlotte Clare Burke was our wonderful, kind, caring and loving little girl.
Charlotte died on 2nd December 2019 peacefully during the night at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with her mummy and daddy by her side. She had a very aggressive form of leukemia which could not be cured with the most advanced treatments available.

Charlotte is survived by her beloved and devoted family; mummy Rachael, daddy Adrian, little brother Thomas (Thomasy) and baby sister Mia. As well as her extended family, including her grandmothers, grandfather, aunties, cousins and her nanny Geraldine with whom she shared so much time and love.

Charlotte was full of enthusiasm and love; she enjoyed every moment of her life. She filled the hearts of those around her with this joy and love. She spent many a fun time playing hide and seek with Thomas and Mia and going to the playground swinging to the clouds, moon and stars. Charlotte enjoyed playing with Chelsea in her barbie dreamhouse, baking cakes with mummy, cooking for polly dolly, trampolining with Thomas, diving underwater to collect toys from the bottom of the pool and singing and dancing to her favorite songs; “I’ve been working on the railroad” being her absolute favorite.

Charlotte was a very proud student of yellow class at Al Yasmina Academy and enjoyed every moment of her schooling surrounded by her wonderful teachers and friends. She was awarded student of the month for her enthusiasm and love of learning and proudly stood up in the assembly as her name was announced shouting “That’s me”.
We are eternally thankful and grateful to the Government of the United Arab Emirates and hospital family at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Abu Dhabi and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia who cared for Charlotte during the past 4 years giving her the special gift of time. They provided our beautiful baby girl with access to the most advanced treatments available; delivering care from their hearts, with empathy, love and kindness at each step of her journey.

We will love you and miss you forever Missy Moo our baby girl in heaven.
