Obituary for Chue Tek Ngov 吴德芝先生

吴德芝先生, Chue Tek Ngov - Die Peacefully at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood on April 29th, 2021 at the age of 51 years.
Chue Tek Ngov passed all too suddenly on Thursday, April 29th. From July 30th, 1969 until then, he graced this Earth. He was preceded by his father Chhing Phong, younger sister Soi, but alas survived by his wife Mui, son Ryan, mother Chuon Duong, and siblings Tek, Teav Kheng, See Kheng, Thong, Debbie, Sam, Chhay, Meng, Siv Muoy, and Lang.
Chue began his life working in forced child labor camps in Cambodia under the oppressive rule of the Khmer Rouge. Losing one child due to this oppression, his parents escaped with the rest of their children to Thailand, the Philippines, Illinois, and eventually settling in the Norristown, PA area.
Coming from that austere start in life, working hard for what he wanted was not an issue for Chue nor the rest of his family. As a graduate from Norristown High School, he went on to Lincoln Technical Institute.
One of his first significant jobs was as a very successful car salesman for Barbera on the Boulevard. His dedication and relentlessness in his pursuits paved way to his successes. Even though the financial crisis of 2008 brought business to a screeching halt, having been through worse crises, he was not deterred. He actually started day trading during this scary time and never looked back.
Chue loved the warm weather, traveling and the beach, especially the Caribbean Islands. He and Mui spent lots of time traveling together and when they welcomed Ryan, their excursions were now complete. His love of the beach led them to purchase some property in Ocean City, Maryland, in which he so graciously implored all of the family to spend time together in this beautiful area at his expense. He enjoyed fishing and trapping the shores of his Ocean City residence. He also enjoyed cooking. At any family gathering, you would always look forward to trying whatever Chue was bringing that day.
Chue had such great pride in his family, always spending time together making fond memories. You could see him burst with admiration whenever he talked about how gifted Ryan is.
You could talk to him about virtually any subject. He was so well versed in sports and politics. But be ready for a sincere conversation. No punches were ever pulled.
He will be so sorely missed by his loved ones and all that knew him. That genuine smile will stay vivid in the memories of all.
He will be especially missed by Mui and Ryan. May Ryan have the heart of his father, and therefore survive and thrive as he did.
Services will be held on May 9th from 4-7PM and May 10th at 10 Am at the Choi Funeral Home 247 N 12th Street in China town.
