Obituary for 陳詩仁先生 Yen Si Chan
Yen Si Chan, 67, passed away on February 9, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.
He was born in Kampong Cham, Cambodia and through immense adversity, with much courage and ingenuity, came to the US in 1982. He settled in Philadelphia, PA where he has lived with his partner, Seng Dang, for almost four decades.
He is also survived by his daughter Victoria (Erick), sisters Thi Hong La, Ing Chan, Huong Chan (Meng), Huay Chan (Hong), brother Tong Si Chan (Guek), and sisters-in-law Sheng Hua Chan (Wai) and Caroline Chao (Chhy). Also surviving are beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Yen was an impossibly optimistic, spirited, generous, and kind person. He has been described as “the happiest person I’ve ever met” on more than one occasion and his ability to stay positive in even the most challenging of circumstances was unparalleled. He encountered every acquaintance with warmth and an open heart, never failing to brighten any moment with his sense of humor and exuberant laugh.
Yen was loved by many and will certainly be missed. Donations will be collected at the service to be distributed to those in need in Vietnam and Cambodia, a cause of key importance to Yen throughout his life. Contributions can also be made in his honor to the American Cancer Association, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or The Wounded Warrior Project.
Services will be held at Choi Funeral Home.

诗仁出生于1954年 柬埔寨，他在巨大的逆境中，以极大的勇气和智慧在1982年来到美国定居费城，与他的心爱的终生伴侣 邓美蓉一起生活了近 40 年。
陈诗仁生前疼爱他的女儿 陳維雅、姐妹 陳玉凤 陳玉华, 陳玉云(姐夫黃新民), 陳詩中(嫂陳玉), 陳玉瑞(姐夫黃新鴻), 大嫂 陳深華(詩偉), 弟媳 周慧青(詩智).。 还有心爱的侄女、侄子。
诗仁是一个乐观、活泼、慷慨和善良的人。 他不止一次被描述为 “我见过的最快乐的人”，即使在最具挑战性的情况下，他保持积极乐观的形象。 他以温暖和开放的形态对待每一个人，他的幽默感和旺盛的笑声从不停止。
诗仁生前受到许多许多人的喜爱和关怀，现在他走了，我深信在以后的日子里也肯定会被大家怀念。 人间有爱，岁月无情，诗仁最终离我们而去。在治丧期间，他的家人之所以能顶得住这样的压力和悲伤，也是因为有大家的关心和帮忙，能够坚强地作最后的告别。
捐款将在服务中心收集，分发给越南和柬埔寨有需要的人，这是诗仁一生中至关重要的事情。 也可以以他的名义为美国癌症协会、圣裘德儿童医院或受伤战士项目捐款。
