We regret to announce the passing of David Wo Lai Mark 麥和禮先生, 89 years old, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 07 July 2022. He passed away, surrounded by his loved ones, from a massive stroke.
David Wo Lai Mark, started working at a very young age of 14. He started his first business as owner of a Laundry and Dry Cleaner, then he opened his first Chinese restaurant named “ Jade Palace”. Upon the death of his beloved wife of 42 years, Linda Chui Wan Mark, he closed his restaurant and entered retirement to care for his grandkids, Megan, Madison, and Sienna. David was heavily involved in the local Chinatown Community. He was a member for many years and held the position as President of the “Mark Family Association”.
David Wo Lai Mark was predeceased by his wife, Linda Chui Wan Mark, 59 (decreased 05 June 2001) . He is survived by his son, Daniel S. Mark, 62, his wife Thelma, their three children George, 32, Andrew, 28, Danielle Jackson, 39, with her three children Donovan, 15, Dominic, 14, and Daleena, 10; his daughter Sandra S. Mark, 61; his son Benjamin S. Mark, 59, his wife Karthine with their daughter Samantha, 11; his daughter Judy S. Shelton, 52, with her husband, Michael and their three children, Megan, 21, Madison, 18, and Sienna 16; his son Timothy W. Mark, 50, his wife, Isabel with their two children, Tyler, 21 and Bella, 19.
Resting at the Choi Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday July 18th at 9:00am - 10:00am. Funeral service will be held in 永 豐 殯 儀 館 Choi Funeral Home 247 North 12th Street on July 18th at 10:00am, interment Hillside Cemetery 2556 Susquehanna Road.
